Height: 154 cm
Weight: 55 kilos

Cairns-born performer, Tammy Barker, has been around the globe and back – taking her various skills to the stages, television networks, movie sets and theatres of the world. It’s not your everyday career path! But then again, that’s what has made the last 15 years so exciting for one of Far North Queensland’s most versatile entertainment exports.

Tammy first began her career on the Gold Coast, performing as a part of Sea World’s Live Action Entertainment group and training under the guidence of the late Colin Dragsback at the QLD Stunt Academy. From there, her roles were as varied as they were challenging – performing live shows in front of audiences of up to 5000 people; taking on stunt roles in international TV series; and acting abroad in the USA, New Zealand, Canada and Japan. The depth of Tammy’s performing credits reflects her exciting versatility. Something she believes has helped lead her to new opportunities. After returning to her hometown of Cairns in 2007, Tammy stepped into yet another new role – a casual fill in radio announcing position for Macquarie Southern Cross Media's 103.5 Hot fm in which then lead to a 13 mth co-hosting contract in January 2008 on the 'Morning Zoo' breakfast show for Prime Radio’s 102.7 4CAFM. That year Tammy was a finalist in the 'Best Radio On Air Interview' category in the QLD Multi Media Awards for her interview with rugby league sensation, Billy Slater.

Tammy expects that her eclectic career path still has a few more surprises and challenges up ahead. With that in mind, you’ll be happy to know Tammy is still available for radio and voice-over work, event hosting, television presenting and commercials.
